“402 hours…”

“September 25th 2012 - December 21st 2012…”

“A collective process of level grinding to the level 1600…”(16 characters max level 100)

“192 total weapons to collect…”

“A minimum of 415 story mode battles required for absolute completion…”

“200 items to collect in total…”

“126 items to create in total…”

“This is what it took for me to 100% complete this game. It took me 4 days shy of three full months to complete to the last detail.”

image

“This is one of the longest and most fun games I’ve played at all, and too me at least, one of the best games on PS3/WII… And yet… It has one of the worst anticlimax endings i’ve ever seen. You complete all stories with all characters(or at least I did, to retain some sense of continuity) before unlocking the 15th, the demon queen, and when completing all of her routes you unlock and fight as the demon king. When you play as him you go three routes each more linear than even Final Fantasy XIII. You go down straight lines and battle the predetermined enemies until you hit the end of that route with no sense of story whatsoever(everyone’s prior routes had options of who to fight. with him there is no semblance of choice at all) at the end of all three, and after repeating one of them you have unlocked 100% completion for story mode.”

“…………………..”

image

“This very much angers me because everything was so great and interesting and awesome(for the most part) until now that ending the game with the worst linearity possible seems like the stupidest thing they could have done!”

image

“You play as the fucking demon king come back from the depths of hell to reclaim the earth for himself! Why not have his story modes just be him killing every enemy in the game with all those same options from previous character routes! A SORT OF BOSS RUSH MODE OF SORTS! But No capcom had to be lazy asses(this game is part of a series with about 5 current games and this one is by far the shortest)”

image

“This is still a great game that will keep you occupied for A VERY LONG TIME, and is still loads of fun with the most diverse cast of characters ever seen in a hack and slash game. If you were on the fence about it or just want a new game to play for the holidays or just in general I would still recommend it because it has great gameplay and a great story. It just suffers from the same problem as L.A. Noire, where it has great play and story and buildup, but just a terrible and anticlimactic ending. However in this game 97%(I did the math) is still really fun and good and interesting.”

image

“Look my review score of 8/10 still stands, but just know that end game content is a little lacking.”

GAME REVIEW

akiyama-san:

“So after a month I finally completed the full story of this game”

“And it’s a really good game I really like it. It’s a samurai hack and slash action game taking place during Sengoku Era Japan (warring states of the 1500-1600’s) revolving around the revival of the Devil King of the six realms of Hell, Oda Nobunaga

And another mans quest for revenge against the man who killed his own master

.It has a lot of variety in the characters(no two characters play the same) we have swordsmen, spear-men, archer, gun-women, ninja, a fucking robot, men who fight only with their fists, ETC it’s great. It has a VERY long story mode with 16 playable characters, each whose individual stories you must play between 3-6 times depending on the character for full completion. The graphics and visuals are great character design is great and I personally really like Mitsunari Ishida”(this is said Avenger)

“And Oichi Oda”

“Voice acting is excellent featuring some of the best actors from Viz Media (California based dubbing companies known mostly for Bleach, Naruto, and recently Blue Exorcist).”

“It’s a hack and slash one versus several hundred type game and it’s really fun, each battle can take between 10 and 50 minutes depending on your skill so you will be there for a while. At the same time that means that it can be very repetitive at times. No two levels are the same, granted there are some repeat levels where you end up in the same place multiple times but the battles themselves are all very different, different characters and bosses and sub bosses in each variation. It also has a two player co-op mode where someone can join in free battle and in story mode via horizontal split screen(I think horizontal anyway. Which ever one is the one where one is on top and one is on bottom screen)”

“All in all I think it’s a great game if you like this genre, I personally love it, it’s only drawback is that if you’re a completionist like myself then you won’t have much to do after finishing the main story. That said the story mode will take you weeks to complete at the very least. Here is a trailer showing off all the characters for you to see how it looks and plays.”

“Final score… 8 out of 10

  • +Good gameplay
  • +Plenty of characters and variation
  • +Great graphics and music and dub
  • +LONG story to keep you occupied for a LONG time
  • - Little to do after finishing the story

Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes is available from Amazon.Com /Amazon.Co.Uk(links directly to game) on both PS3 and WII for about 20 US dollars / 10 Euros(shipping included)”

“Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go max out at all my remaining characters.”

*Starts playing and singing the opening song in gaming headphones, “Naked Arms”*

“Which reminds me, funny thing about this game, in the Japanese version the opening song is sung in Japanese by the great band T.M. Revolution, but for the English version they called the singer in the actually sing an entirely new EngRish version of the song and it sounds just as good if not better than the Japanese version.”

Please tell me what you think of that review, if I get a good enough response I might do some more game reviews in character, hell maybe some anime reviews

So apparently I have become an Admin on the new K-ON page on faceook.

Please like, I sincerely hope to make it better than that god awful HTT page (god awful because a guy was posting penises to it, among other things, but all the while saying innocent Mitsu was indecent.)

Anyways I look forward to serving you!
